My Top 3 Picks For Winter Skin Care

During the winter months I rely heavily on moisturizing and hydrating products.

I have combination skin and depending on the weather, my skin experiences both oily and dry days. Lately my skin has been on the dry side so I’ve been trying out new skin care products and really loved three of them.

These three products have really saved my skin these past couple of months. Check out my reviews down below.

Thayers Witch Hazel Rose Petal Toner

Thayers Witch Hazel Rose Petal Toner

In the past I used a toner that almost felt like a burning sensation and I thought all toners had the same effect. Because of that, I really didn’t like the way it felt on my skin and so would only apply toner once a week, if that. The toner I used had alcohol as one of the ingredients and I could really feel it as I applied it to my face.

I saw this toner at Target and remembered a few positive reviews on it. The best part is that it’s Alcohol free! I was really intrigued by this and couldn’t wait to give it a try.

I have now been using the Thayers toner for almost two months, and I have to say that I’m pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoy it. It has such a nice rose scent which I’m all for. I know rose smelling products aren’t everyone’s cup of tea so not to fear, there are two other scents! I believe there is a cucumber scent as well as a lavender scented toner.

Besides the great scent, it feels so nice on the skin. From past experience with toners, there are some which lack that comfortable feeling once applied. With this one, there is no burning sensation and no drying feeling either. Once I use this toner and let it dry a bit, I instantly feel more hydrated. That’s why I suggest picking this one up.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray

I am so excited to have found this facial spray because it has become my new favourite skin care product. I think the reason is because there are so many great ways to use it. This is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray. If you haven’t heard of it til now, you need to give it a try! Skin care lovers and makeup junkies are using this facial spray on rotation and there’s good reason why.

The scent that I like is the rosewater one as I’m a big fan of rose scented products, which you may have noticed. But again, companies like giving people more scent options. Mario Badescu also carries a cucumber facial spray which I can’t wait to try out.

With this Facial Spray, you can use it after you’ve used a toner. With a fresh and clean face, you can spray this to rejuvenate and further freshen up your skin. You can use it as a primer and a base for your makeup. The facial spray gives you a smooth canvas for beautiful makeup application. Also, use this product as a setting spray to keep your makeup from moving around. Another great way to use it is to just spray it during the day whenever your skin is feeling dry.

I love to use this facial spray for all the uses I listed above. Because of how diverse this spray is, I’m already on my second bottle. I will definitely keep using it and rotating it through both my skin care routine, as well as my make up routine.

I couldn’t recommend this product enough!

Boscia Tsubaki Swirl Moisturizer

This is one of the most hydrating moisturizers I own at the moment. It’s a product I reach for over and over again. Since it’s two part gel and cream, the consistency really does moisturize the skin really well. My skin feels so rejuvenated and refreshed after applying this. It’s definitely been my favourite moisturizer this winter season.

I love how cute and compact it is as well. It’s usually in my travel bag because not only is it a small size and doesn’t take up much room, it also keeps my skin super hydrated when travelling no matter the climate.

I’m quite new to Boscia products and this moisturizer was the first of the brand that I’ve tried. Since I loved the product, I can’t wait to give more of their stuff a try!

I’m quite happy to have discovered these skin care products. I think I’ll be repurchasing all three at one point in time.

I’m always looking for new skin care products to try so please leave a comment down below telling me what your favourite skin care product is! What has been your go to product this winter season?
