I recently attended San Francisco Fashion Week with some of my blogger babes and worked with The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel.
Here’s what I learned during my stay at The Clift and reasons to stay there next time you’re in the city!
This blog post was made in collaboration with The Clift Hotel and all my opinions are my own.

- Location: 495 Geary St, San Francisco, CA 94102
Clift’s lobby was designed by Philippe Starck and Ian Schrager. It includes the 8ft chair designed by Ray and Charles Eames and was commissioned by owner Frederick C. Clift. Don’t forget to look under the giant chair for a little surprise. It has a painting underneath as a nod to his children, so don’t forget to take a peek next time you visit.
Clift’s famous Redwood Room has been restored and functions as a modern San Francisco bar. During our tour of the hotel, we learned that the enormous bar was carved from a single redwood tree and later found designs that were originally etched in the wood.

The Suite includes a living room, dining room, and a bedroom area with bathroom. It is decorated in the same style as the rest of the hotel’s guest rooms. Rooms feature 300-thread count percale bedding, down duvets and imported Merino wool throw blanket. The guest rooms are meant to be a place for rest and relaxation while the common areas remain full of energy and life. Any of the rooms would be the ideal spot for a stylish getaway.
In this hotel are staircases where you can glance from the top down all 17 floors of the hotel. The way the light hits them changes the lilac colour throughout the day. Explore the staircases of the Clift for potential photo ops.
Each of the 372 guest rooms are decorated with beautifully crafted furniture custom-designed by Philippe Starck. There are wooden “wheelbarrow” chairs found in each room inspired by Man Ray which gives a nod to the California Gold Rush. The walls are left intentionally blank to add to the calm and airy palette for the ultimate feeling of relaxation. Each room also features infinity mirrors placed on each end of the room which helps to create an even more spacious room.
